Hardin Travels opens the door to a world of possibilities for African-American women and couples who have never journeyed beyond their backyard. We partner with our travelers to create the vacation of their dreams. Our goal is to highlight the beauty, culture, and history of the world through curating private excursions and group travel. Founded in January 2017, our travelers have jetsetted to Cuba, Jamaica, and Disney.

MEET YOUR TRAVEL CONCIERGE

I always wanted to travel. Being an adventurous only child, I knew my single mother had a desire to travel, yet she couldn’t. Not even to New Orleans, which was only a few hours away from our Alabama home. I was curious about the world and what awaited beyond my bedroom window. I wanted experiences no one else in my family had.

The adventure I sought was finally realized when at 17, I traveled to Europe where I traveled to 5 different countries – United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. As a teenage girl with huge princess dreams – seeing Buckingham Palace in person was AMAZING. The art, culture, and sights of Paris were unforgettable. The Eiffel Tower exuded romance, the Louvre housed some of the most interesting works of art I ever saw, and Parisians beam with pride throughout the streets of such a magnificent city.

I learned that across the globe – people are more similar than you’d think. Spending time with a family in the countryside of France provided an opportunity to go grocery shopping, pick the kids up from school, and creating and eating family style dinners. Everyday life in the countryside of France looked like everyday life in the U.S.

I started Hardin Travels as a way to open up the world to other black women and couples, especially working and retired black professionals. I understand how it feels to have a full-time career and long for dedicated days off to rest and reset. A “Dream Maker”, Hardin Travels makes it easier for busy professionals to ride a camel in Dubai, watch the sunrise from the top of Mount Batur in Bali, shop at the Queen Victoria Market in Australia, or visit the Bob Marley Museum in Jamaica.

I believe that memorable events should be celebrated with travel. As a black woman, we need to go beyond the US and experience the world. It’s 100% OK for black women (& men) to travel alone. I feel retirement should be spent traveling instead of at home in front of the TV. Despite what you think, travel doesn’t have to be expensive and it’s attainable. Besides being a spiritual experience, and perhaps finding yourself, travel is fun and planning your vacation shouldn’t be stressful. So, see what the world has more to offer than what’s outside your window.

I am a Certified Disney Specialist, Marriott Brand Specialist, Jamaica Travel Specialist, AM Resorts Specialist, Atlantis Ambassador, and St Lucia Expert. I am also knowledgeable in group travel, family reunions, and cruises. My goal is for African American couples and women, specifically, to get out and see the world – whether it’s alone or in a group.
